When and where does Venture Cooperative meet?
Venture meets at Buffalo Covenant Church on most Monday afternoons from 12:30-4:30pm. Set-up begins at noon and take-down ends at 4:30. Students are welcome to eat lunch from home together during set-up, before the opening meeting, and to have recess together afterward while parents reset rooms for the church.
How do Venture’s units work?
Units are structured in five-week segments. The first three weeks involve class on Monday. The fourth week we gather for a field trip within the greater Twin Cities area. We do not meet at all on the fifth week.
- Week 1: Class on Monday
- Week 2: Class on Monday
- Week 3: Class on Monday
- Week 4: Field Trip (not necessarily on Monday)
- Week 5: Off
The school year begins in September and ends in May. We take generous time off over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break.
